Help spread the truth about Telangana region of India. Since 1956, when Andhra and Telangana merged, Telangana has gotten the short end of the stick in terms of natural resources, funding and representation in government. Though two major rivers have their sources in Telangana, irrigation projects divert the precious water to other areas. The feelings have often spilled over into violence, and in 1969, 400 people died in Telangana-related violence.

Telangana ghosha

It's a full circle now and the Telangana issue has come to the starting point again. The people of Telangana are fed up of by the games played by the political parties at the state and the Centre. We have had enough of it for 50 years now. Nobody bothers about the sacrifices made by the innocent students who literally burnt themselves to convey their helplessness. They cared least for their lives and burnt themselves just to convey their word to the rulers.
The Central government wants to force the Telangana people to live in peace with the Andhra. The Centre feels a separate state should be formed as liked by the Andhra people rather than people of the region. It wants to take the concent of all once again. Earlier they all agreed and based on that the Central government gave a decision on Telangana. People were happy here and celebrated the announcement. But this celebration was not liked by the Andhras. Even before nothing happened on the issue they were not digesting our happiness, somehow they wanted to make us sad, they wanted us to continue burning, they wanted us to make villians. They portrayed the Telangana students as rowdies. They still want us to burn and end the lives of innocent students. They want us to be unemployed and study in the universities till 30 and 40 years. But we won't get any jobs. Our students are poor, they don't have money to buy books or pay fee for coaching as the Andhra students do. We don't have good paddy fields at our homes back in our districts as the Andhra people have. We don't have water facilities as the Andhra people have. Obviously we are living in hostels studying till 30s and 40s but still no jobs. All top jobs are bagged by Andhra students. We are left where we were 50 years ago. We don't have a good project like Nagarjunasagar which can feed water to our entire Telangana as it is doing for Andhra. We do not have a good project like Srisailam to feed water to our uplands as it is doing downwards in the Andhra region. How do one think that our parents can support us economically when they themselves are struggling to feed themselves?
Now when our stomachs are burning, the Andhras want us to burn and continue to burn. They make films and sell it to our Telangana people and earn money but spend nothing in return to at least the welfare of their fans.
Till now all CMs were from Andhra and Rayalaseema. They developed their regions but who will think about the welfare of the Talangana region? But still they want to dominate us politically, economically, socially. Had they done some good to our people at least 10 per cent we would have not seen the day today.
Today neither the state government nor the Central government wants to hear the Telangana people. They want the consent of each and every Andhra person to give us our state which would never happen... that means they would never want to give Telangana. They want to accept some packages for our development which would be supervised and governed by the Andhra people and politicians. The Central government wants us to live under the Andhra people's rule. I though ours is democratic government. I thought the people concerns are heard. It's been 10 years now TRS was formed. But no government wants to heed the problems of people who elected the TRS representatives.
